The CLEL Bell Award Shortlist is here and the selection committee is asking your input to help decide the 2023 CLEL Bell Award winners! The nominated books have been narrowed to a shortlist of five titles from each of the categories: Read, Write, Sing, Talk, and Play. Next, all CLEL members can vote on their favorites.
Any of these books would make excellent additions to your storytimes, book displays, and readers advisory repertoire. The 25 shortlist titles were selected based on the book’s support and modeling of the early literacy practice for caregivers, appealing and unique presentation on the theme, and excellence in design and production.
Choosing the final winning titles is always a challenge due to the high quality and appeal of the shortlist books. The selection committee wants to know which titles you have read, the winner you would choose for each category, and most importantly, your feedback on why this title should win.
Please submit your vote by January 6 and look for the announcement of the 2023 CLEL Bell Award winners in February.
